Out with Younus Khan
I never really had too much respect for Younus Khan as a player, except maybe for his attitude he displays at certain places. But otherwise I think he is generally lacking as a player, technique-wise. I mean he is not even able to cross the circle with his timing (if you call it that).
Making him the vice-captain of the team was a big mistake I think. He doesnt even deserve a place in the team, how can you make him the vice-captain. The way he shuffles across his stumps makes him totally vulnerable against the left-arm in-swing of the Indian bowlers. Which is why he is not a good choice in the first place. (Same problem with Yousuf Youhana too i guess but he somewhat covers it with his experience/skills). Also the catch drop by him makes him absolutely undeserving of the spot. Just imagine the effect it would have had on the players if he was the captain dropping such a vital catch.
I suggest taking him out and bringing in Yasir Hameed who has had some experience against the Indian line-up last year. I agree with the suggestion that inclusion of Afridi provides a bowling option but the problem at hand is top order batsmen while Afridi is not suited to deliver at that position I think. Pushing Asim Kamal/Kamran Akmal to the top to accomodate Afridi in the lower order would only disturb the positions of those two who have shown good ability to deliver at those positions.
